Huainan Kongli Huaihe River Bridge
Huainan Kongli Huaihe Bridge is Steel Structures located in Panji District, Huainan City, Anhui Province, with a total route length of 10.28 kilometers and a bridge length of 5.317 kilometers, which crosses the Huaifu Railway, the main channel of the South Branch, and the secondary channel of the North Branch respectively. Kongli Huaihe Bridge is not only a rapid transportation system linking Panji District, Xiejiaji District, Bagongshan District and Fengtai County clusters, but also an important exit for Panji District to go up and down the Hehuaifu Expressway, which is of great significance for improving the overall layout of Huainan city and accelerating the development of land and mineral resources in the north of Huaihe River.The project started construction in January 2014 and was completed and opened to traffic in June 2017. The main works include about 580,000 cubic meters of earth and stone for the roadbed, one Nanhan main channel bridge, one Beihan secondary channel bridge, two bridges across the embankment, and one bridge over the Huaifu Railway. The total amount of steel used in the project is 50,000 tons, 340,000 cubic meters of concrete was poured and 276,000 square meters of asphalt was laid.
Construction Process Introduction:
The north bank connection of Kongli Huaihe River Bridge starts from S225 at the east side of Southeast Zhuang in Panji District, that is, it connects with Huaipan Highway in Suyang Village of Gugou Township, and then crosses Huaifu Railway via Wujiahu Lake west of Panji Railway Station, and finally ends up at the starting point of the bridge across Huaihe River near Taoxu Village; The south bank connection starts from the south terminus of bridge across Huaihe River, and then routes along the reserved coal pillar area of the West Sixth Wind Shaft of Kongli Coal Mine, and finally ends up at S308 near Kongjie Village. The total length of the bridge is 10.28 kilometers, including 5.317 kilometers of the bridge across the Huaihe River, 3.756 kilometers of the north bank connection, and 1.203 kilometers of the south bank connection. The whole line adopts asphalt concrete road surface, two-way six lanes plus pedestrian and non-motorized lanes, the design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. The bridge adopts the design of separating people and vehicles along the whole line, with complete and solid safety facilities, and the design standard and construction requirements are the highest standard for urban transportation.

In this regard, the project department adopted computer software plate unit division, CNC undercutting, positioning tire frame processing, section pre-splicing, on-site large section lifting, remote wireless monitoring and multi-point synchronized step overall jacking construction and other technologies to ensure the safe and smooth construction of the large-span jacking construction.On October 10, 2016, the main channel jacking was put into position.
The secondary fairway bridge is also a key point in the construction of the steel structure bridge. In the construction of the continuous girder of the secondary fairway bridge, the project department, on the basis of full research and demonstration of the construction plan, designed and developed special hanging basket equipment, realizing the synchronous construction of the double-span bridge with a spacing of only 10 centimeters, with a compact process connection, and 24-hour uninterrupted operation, compressing the construction cycle of each segmental block, creating an average of one segment for every 9 days of the continuous girder, and a historical record of one segment in 7 days at the earliest. 7 days a section of the historical record, so that the continuous beam 21 days in advance of the planned node, in May 2016 during the "dragon".
In the construction process of Kongli Huaihe River Bridge project, the application of geosynthetics, fiber concrete and prefabricated concrete assembly monolithic structure construction technology, structural safety monitoring (control) technology and other 8 categories of 16 new construction engineering technology, have achieved good results.
Kongli Huaihe Bridge is a key project of Huainan City, the construction unit is Huainan Key Project Bureau, and the contractor is China Railway Sixth Bureau. According to the requirements of Huainan Key Project Bureau and China Railway Sixth Bureau, the project department has set the goal of creating excellence from the beginning of the project: to strive for the "Luban Prize of China Construction Engineering". During the construction process, the project department organized the construction in strict accordance with the requirements of "Luban Prize for China Construction Engineering", collected and perfected the data, invited relevant experts and leaders to inspect and guide the project on site, and held a meeting on November 5, 2016 to discuss the "Huainan Kongli Huaihe Bridge 'Luban Prize' Excellence Creation Project". Luban Prize' Excellence Creation Workshop" was held on November 5, 2016, which achieved good results.
